During the hearing in Stamford Superior Court on Thursday, Sept. 12, the judge also issued a gag order in the case saying comments by attorneys and other parties could affect the outcome of a trial.
Shortly after, the New Canaan Police Department issued a statement regarding the order which takes effect on Thursday, stating: "No information will be provided from this date forward regarding this case until the order is lifted or additional arrests are made."
The husband, Fotis Dulos, 52, was arrested for the second time at his Farmington home Wednesday, Sept. 4.
Jennifer Dulos, 50, of New Canaan has not been seen since dropping off her five children at school on Friday, May 24. Her black Chevy Suburban was found abandoned on the side of Lapham Road near Waveny Park in New Canaan after she was reported missing.
The latest charges against Fotis Dulos and his girlfriend, Michelle Troconis, 44, are related to new evidence which allegedly showed efforts by the two to clean up a Toyota Tacoma that police believe was used in Jennifer Dulos' disappearance, according to arrest warrants.
Both Fotis Dulos and Troconis have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Outside of the courthouse, Dulos attorney Norm Pattis told reporters that his client was not guilty.
“Here is our message to the state of Connecticut, Mr. Dulos is not guilty," said Norm Pattis. "When you’re ready to try a case by appropriate evidentiary standards in a court of law, you’ll know where to find it. We’ve got three words for the state – bring it on.”
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Sept. 11, Jennifer Dulos' mother, Gloria Farber, filed papers to foreclose on his Farmington home, which she has been paying for since he stopped paying the mortgage, her attorney, Richard Weinstein said.
During an interview with WFSB Eyewitness News 3, Weinstein also said: "it's our client's belief that Jennifer is dead. It is certainly my belief. It is certainly the belief of all of her friends and all the people who knew Jennifer wich they could find a way to resolve this awful situation."
